Daniel Esparza (Caracas, 1978). Laurea in History of Art (Universidad Central de Venezuela, Magna Cum Laude), Magister in Philosophy (Universidad Simón Bolívar), MA in Philosophy (New School for Social Research), PhD candidate and Teaching Fellow at the Religion Department at Columbia University. Was an assistant professor of History of Art and Principles of Art Criticism at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, Academic Assistant of the Philosophy Department at the Universidad Simón Bolívar, and adjunct professor of ethics at Seton Hall University. Spent two years in a Discalced Carmelite monastery studying Spanish baroque mysticism. Works mainly on Kierkegaard, Hamann, and Walter Benjamin.
