Max Binder is a senior in Comparative Literature studying French and German, with a focus in comparative resistance and (post)modern anticapitalist aesthetics. A Global Policy Initiative Undergraduate Fellow, they recently began their thesis work in Paris, studying the fetish character of western cities under the supervision of Professor Reinhold Martin. Other interests include queer theory and history, in which they produced the paper "Existrans: Manifesting (Trans)genders in Paris," a socio-anthropological history of a transgender & intersex march in Paris, in the fall of 2016.
