Massimiliano L. Delfino holds a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature from La Sapienza University in Rome (110 cum laude). He earned his MA in Italian Studies from UNC-Chapel Hill. His current research interests involve Italian political cinema, avant-garde cinematic and literary experiments of the 20th century, representations of violence in visual media, and intersections between literature and cinema. He was awarded in 2013 with the Student Undergraduate Teaching and Staff Award for teaching excellence, and is currently Microteaching Facilitator for Columbia's Center for Teaching and Learning.
