Remaking Publics: Gender, Affect, Insurgence, Presence… is the second part of the Annual BR Ambedkar Lectures.

The evening will feature talks by:

  • Thenmozhi Soundarajan, Equality Labs
  • Asha Kowtal, All India Dalit Mahila Adhikar Manch (AIDMAM)
  • Mabel Wilson, Columbia University, Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation
  • Kajri Jain, University of Toronto, Department of Visual Studies

 Farah Jasmine Griffin, Chair of the African American and African Diaspora Studies Department and Professor of English and Comparative Literature will serve as the respondent.

This event is free and open to the public.

The Ambedkar Lectures will be complemented by a public exhibit, which will feature documents from the The Rare Book & Manuscript Library collections, and the Dalit Panther Archive. Details TBA.
