The American Comparative Literature Association (ACLA) announced the winners of their 2017 prizes at their annual meeting in Utrecht.

ICLS affiliated faculty member Seth Kimmel won the The Harry Levin Prize , annually awarded to the best first book in comparative literature for his book: Parables of Coercion: Conversion and Knowledge at the End of Islamic Spain (University of Chicago Press.)

Roni Henig (ICLS/MESAAS Ph.D. candidate) won the The A. Owen Aldridge Prize,  an annual paper competition for graduate students, for her essay entitled “Stammering Hebrew – Y.H. Brenner’s Deferred Beginnings.”
