Milica Iličić is a second-year doctoral student at the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at Columbia University, specializing in the South Slavic and Balkan cultures. Her research engages with connections between the body and the urban and political space it inhabits, as well as matters of trauma, memory and war. She is currently working on her MA thesis, which explores these issues in the work of the South Serbian author Borisav Stanković.
