Olga Taxidou is Reader in Drama at the University of Edinburgh where she teaches theatre and performance studies. ‘The Mask: Edward Gordon Craig and the Periodical as Performance’, (1998), ‘Tragedy, Modernity and Mourning’ (2004) and ‘Modernism and Performance: Jarry to Brecht’ (2007). She also works on adaptations of Greek tragedies, some of which have been performed. At present she is working on an adaptation of “The Bacchae’ with the composer Nigel Osborne.
