Ana Paulina Lee Speaks With New York Times on “Aceita”

Lee spoke recently with The New York Times about the backlash suffered by Brazilian pop star Anitta following the release of the music video for her song “Aceita,” which depicted practices of her faith, Candomblé.  Practitioners of the religion  “were prosecuted under the premise that they were hazardous to public health, because the witchcraft laws were hidden under public health code,” Lee said.
