Lana Belenkaia is a PhD candidate in the Department of Slavic Languages at Columbia University. She received her MA in Russian and Slavic Studies from New York University (2026) and completed her undergraduate degree in Philology at the Higher School of Economics in Saint Petersburg (2023). Her research interests include twentieth-century literature, Russian émigré literature, memoir and memory studies, translation theory, intermedial approaches to literature, French literature, the avant-garde, Russophone Jewish literature, and connections between Russian and Turkish modernism.
