Valerio Amoretti selected as a 2020 Presidential Scholar in Society and Neuroscience

Valerio Amoretti (ICLS/English/PSP 2019) was selected as a 2020 Presidential Scholar in Society and Neuroscience. His project stems from work on how characters grow and evolve in literary fiction. He will examine how perceptions of oneself can be altered or changed by bringing together concepts from creative writing, autobiographical literature, psychoanalytic theory, and self-perception research in neuroscience.
