Author of the celebrated Istanbul: Memories of a City, Pamuk has written a host of other texts translated into English including The White Castle, The Black Book, The New Life, and Other Colors: Essays and a Story. Professor Andreas Huyssen, Villard Professor of German and Comparative Literature, founding director of the Center for Comparative Literature and Society and chair of the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures at Columbia University, will host this informal lunch discussion. Pamuk and Huyssen are currently co-teaching a course entitled “Words and Pictures.”
