Join us for an in-depth conversation with experts on caste and its pervasive impact on law and society. This event will explore how historical and colonial frameworks of caste continue to shape identity, human rights, and citizenship today, delving into intersections with systemic discrimination, state obligations, and socio-legal policies. We will engage in a critical dialogue on the manifestations of caste oppression and the transformative potential of annihilation through both legal and grassroots resistance.

We mark an era led by global movements for civil rights, justice, and liberation, along with the commemoration of Dalit History Month, to shed light on an under-discussed form of systemic inequality and how it functions as a global phenomenon-shaping labor hierarchies, social exclusion, and human rights violations from South Asia to the Caribbean, the United States to the Middle East. By examining caste through the lens of legal analysis and resistance, this event aims to foster anti-casteist and anti-racist solidarity to reimagine justice for marginalized communities across the globe.
