The International Symposium on New Directions in the Humanities, asks the timely question, ‘Is there a crisis in the Humanities?’ To be held at the mid-point between the annual Humanities Conferences, the conference will address the easy in which the Humanities might find a place in changing times.  Main speakers will include leading thinkers in the humanities, as well as numerous paper, workshop and colloquium presentations by researchers and teachers.  Hosted by the Center for comparative Literature and Society at Columbia University.
