THINGS WE IMAGINE – Screening and discussion featuring Dr. Charles H. F. Davis III, director, and Dr. Candace N. Hall, producer.

The Edmund W. Gordon Institute for Advanced Study is honored to host visiting scholar Dr. Charles H.F. Davis III, director of the feature film THINGS WE IMAGINED, who will join us for a special screening of this documentary about Black college and university professors and the futures they imagined for themselves. The film takes a narrative approach, drawing primarily from in-depth, semi-structured interviews with more than 30 faculty members from across the United States. Also included are behind-the-scenes moments from academic conferences, campus visits, and everyday interactions among colleagues and friends.

Following the screening, Dr. Candace N. Hall, Producer of the film, will join Dr. Davis on stage for a post-screening discussion, moderated by Dr. Ezekiel Dixon-Roman, Director of the Gordon Institute.
