Basma N. Radwan

Basma Radwan is a doctoral student in the Department of Middle Eastern, South Asian and African Studies and the Institute for Comparative Literature and Society at Columbia University. She is interested in the history of political thought and the impact of colonialism in the making of modernity. Her current research focuses on notions of racial difference in the work of Alexis de Tocqueville.
