Beatrice Mazzi

Beatrice Mazzi is a second-year PhD candidate in Italian Studies and Comparative Literature and Society at Columbia University. In 2006 she earned her Laurea Triennale in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Perugia. She holds a master’s degree in Literary Translation from the University of Turin (2010), and a Master of Arts in Comparative Literature from the University College of London (2010).
Her research focuses on Italian contemporary literature, autobiography, testimony and gender. Although literature remains her main field of study, photography, documentary and oral history are among her areas of interest.
