Charles Pletcher
Department of Classics

Charles is a graduate student in Classics and Comparative Literature at Columbia. His research interests center on recent receptions of ancient literature in the Western Hemisphere, with particular attention paid to theater in the Southern Cone. Relatively minor characters (especially messengers) in ancient drama and modern (re)performances play outsized roles in his reading and research.

Additional interests include digital humanities, postcolonial studies, and literary criticism (ancient and modern).
