Sourav holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from St. Xavier’s College, University of Calcutta (2013). He has a Master’s degree in English from Jadavpur University (2015). He wrote his M.Phil. dissertation in the Department of Comparative Literature at Jadavpur University (2017). He completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Archiving and Digitizing from the School of Cultural Texts and Records at Jadavpur University (2017). He also has a Degree in Master of Arts from Columbia University (2019). Sourav is now a Ph.D. Research Scholar in the Middle Eastern, South Asian and African Studies Department. His research interests lie in the genre of Bengali comic strips, comic books, cartoons and graphic narratives of mid-twentieth century West Bengal. His dissertation entails the politics of representation of the Bengali male body, textual criticism, and comics and literary theory.
