Farah Jasmine Griffin discusses depictions of Black women artists in film for NY Times, Guest Curated Exhibit at NY Society Library

Professor of English and Chair of AAADS Farah Jasmine Griffin was interviewed in the NY Times on why recent cinematic depictions of Black women musicians have focused on trauma instead of the artists’ genius. Professor Griffin also guest-curated an exhibition entitled Black Literature Matters at the NY Society Library.
