Farah Jasmine Griffin speaks on scholarly trajectory and establishment of new Columbia department on the Dean’s Table

William B. Ransford Professor of English and Comparative Literature and African-American Studies at Columbia, Farah Jasmine Griffin, was featured in The Dean’s Table with Frederick Harris. Professor Harris is also now the chair of the University’s new Department of African American and African Diaspora Studies.

Professor Griffin spoke with Dean Harris about her scholarly trajectory into African-American studies, her research on the Black Migration and Harlem of the 1940s, and the establishment of the new Department of African-American and African Diaspora Studies at Columbia.
