Farah Jasmine Griffin Wins Lionel Trilling Book Award

Griffin is the winner of the 47th annual Lionel Trilling Book Award for Read Until You Understand: The Profound Wisdom of Black Life and Literature.  The awarding body, the Academic Awards Committee of the Columbia College Student Council, noted that in Griffin’s book, “each chapter unveiled a new layer of well-crafted and illuminating wisdom.”
