Gil Hochberg Recieves Lenfest Distinguished Faculty Award

Established in 2005 by former University Trustee Gerry Lenfest, the Lenfest Distinguished Faculty Award is given annually to faculty of unusual merit across a range of professional activities, including scholarship, University citizenship, and professional involvement — with a primary emphasis on instruction and mentorship of undergraduate and graduate students.
This year, three Humanities faculty members were given a Lenfest Distinguished Faculty Award:
- Anne Bogart, Concentration Head, Directing Professor, Theatre, The School of the Arts
- Gil Hochberg, Ransford Professor of Hebrew and Comparative Literature, and Middle East Studies; Department of Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies (ICLS)
- Agnieszka Legutko, Senior Lecturer in Yiddish, Department of Germanic Languages
