Gil Hochberg Wins Rene Wellek Prize for Becoming Palestine

ICLS is proud to share that CLEX member Gil Hochberg, the Ransford Professor of Hebrew and Visual Studies at Columbia, won the Rene Wellek Prize, administered by the American Comparative Literature Association, for her monograph, Becoming Palestine: Toward an Archival Imagination of the Future. The award, which recognizes an outstanding work in the discipline of comparative literature that transcends barriers of language, nationality, and geography.
