Professor of English and Comparative Literature and AAADS Farah Jasmine Griffin and Professor of English and Comparative Literature Saidiya Hartman (IRAAS) were both featured speakers at the 2021 Schomburg Center Literary Festival. Professor Griffin discussed her forthcoming book, Read Until You Understand: The Profound Wisdom of Black Life and Literature, with Tressie McMillan Cottom. Professor Hartman spoke with author Akwaeke Emezi about their book, Dear Senthuran, in a pre-festival event entitled Spiritfirst.
