Professor Alessandra Russo receives 2025 Eleanor Tufts Award

Congratulations to ICLS-affiliate Professor Alessandra Russo of LAIC for receiving the 2025 Eleanor Tufts Award for her book: A New Antiquity: Art and Humanity as Universal, 1400–1600 (Penn State University Press)!

As noted by the Prize Committee: “This book is an extraordinarily mature piece of scholarship…that has the ability to reach a wide [audience]. It offers an influential paradigm shift that contributes to a new conception of artifacts from Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania, and the Americas.”
