Souleymane Bachir Diagne Elected to Two Learned Societies

Diagne has been elected to two learned societies this spring: He was one of 200 new members elected to The American Academy of Arts and Sciences.  Membership in the Academy honors the outstanding achievements of individuals in academia, the arts, business, government, and public affairs.

Diagne was also named an Associate member ofRoyal Academy of Science, Letters and Fine Arts of Belgium‘s Class for Letters and Moral and Political Sciences. The induction ceremony will take place this October in Brussels at the Palais des Académies.
