Anthropologist and ICLS Affiliated Faculty Zoë Crossland and the Columbia Center for Archaeology have received the Outstanding Public Archaeology Initiative Award from the Society for American Archaeology in recognition for a June 2020 virtual panel on “Archaeology in the Time of Black Lives Matter,” organized in collaboration with the Society of Black Archaeologists and the Theoretical Archaeology Group.
