Wikipediathon for Rewriting Dalit History

Wikipediathon is hosted by Thenmozhi Soundarajan (Equality Labs) with the support of Josue David Chavez (ICLS). Co-sponsored by XP Methods

The Equality Labs team have been organizing Wikipedia Editathaons throughout India and U.S. These aim to improve Wikipedia’s coverage of Dalit people, events and issues, and to share Dalit contributions to history around the world. This particular editahaon will also explore a Wikipedia called “Bahujan Pedia” that will allow users to enter content including about the experience of caste in the diaspora gathered from a recently concluded caste survey

This particular Editathon will explore a wikipedia called “Bahujan Pedia” that will allow users to enter content and to map caste inequality and discrimination.

The Editathon will also be an opportunity to present results about the experience of caste in the diaspora, gathered from a recently concluded caste survey.
