Emanuele Coccia is Associate Professor at the EHESS since 2011, after being Assistant Professor at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau (2008-2011). He was invited research fellow and professor at the University of Tokyo (2009), Buenos Aires (2010), Düsseldorf (2013) and at the Columbia University (2015/2016).

Among his publications : La trasparenza delle immagini. Averroè e l’averroismo (Milan 2005, Spanish translation 2008) ; La vie sensible (Paris 2010 ; translated en English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Romanian) and Le bien dans les choses (Paris 2013 ; translated en Spanish and Italian; German, English and Portuguese translation forthcoming). With Giorgio Agamben he edited a comprehensive anthology of texts on angels across the Abrahamic traditions (Angeli. Ebraismo Cristianesimo Islam, Vicenza 2009)
