Barnard Africana Studies and the Institute for African Studies, the Institute for Research on Women, Gender and Sexuality, the Institute for Comparative Literature and Society, and the Department of English at Columbia are pleased to present a lecture and discussion with Premesh Lalu introduced by Yvette Christianse and responded by Rosalind C. Morris.

Premesh Lalu is professor and director of the Centre for Humanities Research at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. He is the author of The Deaths of Hintsa, and numerous essays on South African coloniality, as well as the literatures and politics of decolonization, the re-invention of the political, the human and the histories of media in the rethinking of the humanities and its archives.
